A confirmation statement is an annual filing that confirms the information Companies House holds about your company is still accurate — even if nothing has actually changed.
1. What It Confirms
It covers details such as your registered office, directors, shareholders and people with significant control, comparing them against what's already on the public register.
2. When It's Due
Every company has a 12-month review period, after which a confirmation statement is due, generally within 14 days of the period ending.
3. What Filing Doesn't Do
Filing a confirmation statement doesn't itself update your details — actual changes (like a new director or address) need to be filed separately, either before or alongside it.
